Quinta Jacintina has operated as a Boutique hotel staffed 24 hours a day. However as a result of Covid – 19, we are changing our mode of operanti for June – August 2020 and potentially longer term as a result of the virus. We have taken steps to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our Guests and Staff in line with guidelines issued by Tourism Portugal.
There are now 9 rooms available for bed and breakfast. The prices have been substantially reduced to take account of the reduced services we provide.
Below, I have outlined the way in which we are now operating and hope that this will still be of interest to you. In particular, I draw your attention to the limited times when the swimming pool can be accessed and our Dining Alfresco 2020. Both of which may result in more non- resident guests on the premises on certain days of the weeks and at certain times. On a positive note though it means there are more opportunities to dine at Quinta Jacintina. These are important changes from our usual mode of operanti and I particularly draw your attention to guests who have stayed with us before or any other information that may still appear on websites that differs from the Guest information below.

Welcome to Quinta Jacintina – My Secret Garden Hotel, the Algarve’s renowned boutique hotel. However, as a result of Covid – 19, this Summer we will only be operating on a bed and breakfast basis. A few minutes spent reading through this information and guide will make your stay with us and highlight the changes from our normal operations. If there is anything else we can do to help, please do not hesitate us.

Check in 14h00. Check out 10.30aam . Early check ins or Late checks out by agreement. 50% Deposit is required to secure the reservation. Minimum 2 night stay at weekends. In the event of cancellation, the following will be charged of the full amount: 2–3 weeks= 25%. 1–2 weeks= 50%. Less than one week= 75%. For all reductions in length of stay or departures earlier than the confirmed date, a charge of 50% on the number of reduced nights will be made up to maximum of 7 nights.

- Car hire, at advantageous rates, can be arranged through reception. In order to delay collection and returns at the airport cars can be delivered to the hotel. A taxi from the airport to the hotel is approximately 20 euros.

For guests that book through AirBnB, we require a security deposit. If we submit a damage claim within 14 days of checkout, guests will be responsible for damages up to 360 euros. No security deposit is charged, if the booking is made direct with Quinta Jacintina.
For guests that book through AirBnB, we charge a cleaning fee of 45 euros for each booking. No cleaning fee is charged, if the booking is made direct with the Quinta Jacintina.
The communal areas are cleaned daily as are the guests bedrooms and bathrooms. Towels and bed linen are changed at least twice a week and whenever there is a change of client.
For a 50% refund of the nightly rate, the guest must cancel 60 full days before the listing’s local check in time (shown in the confirmation email). If the guest cancels less than 60 days in advance, the nights not spent are not refunded. If guest arrives and decides to leave early, the nights not spent are not refunded..
Payment of Accounts
Accounts may be settled with cash in Euros, bank transfer, debit card or by any of the recognized credit cards. Cheques are no longer accepted for payment of accounts.
Reservations must be confirmed with a 50% deposit. If you require your invoice to be divided between rooms or have any other special billing requirements, please notify us in advance. If you are due to depart before the reception opens in the morning at 8am we would respectfully request that your account is settled before 8pm the previous evening.
Each bedroom is tastefully decorated with a Double or twin bed, bedside tables, desk and chairs. The ensuite bathroom has a bathtub with shower over. The terrace has a table, 2 chairs and 2 sunloungers. The rooms on the first floor are accessible by stairs or a shaft lift. One room has been specifically adapted for guests with limited mobility.

- Tea and coffee making facilities. There is an initial supply of complimentary tea and coffee.
- Extra coffee capsules are available but will be charged.

There is well stocked Bar with Waiter Service until 8pm. After 8pm we operate an honesty Bar. Please note it is not authorized by law for children under 18 years old to purchase or drink alcohol. Please note that food and drink purchased from outside may not be consumed in any communal areas of the hotel, including the swimming pool area.
The rates per room per night for double occupancy in either a double or companion bed include continental buffet breakfast in your own room between the hours of 8am and 11am. You may wish to upgrade to a cooked breakfast at an additional cost.
The continental breakfast will all be served in the bedrooms as recommended by Turismo Portugal whilst social distancing remains in place.

Children and infants
Children and infants are welcome but there are no special facilities for them and much as I do not like to turn business away do have reservations as to whether it is the best place to stay with children
Dining Al Fresco 2020
Welcome to our new Summer Restaurant with a difference and is open to guests and non residents. Tables are set on the terraces and around the Swimming Pool and Garden. If you choose a table around the swimming pool, you are welcome to enjoy a dip in the pool!

Fire Alarm Testing
For safety precautions and legal requirement, we are required to test our fire alarms. All guests will be warned of this in advance. If you hear the alarm and have not been warned, please treat this as a genuine alarm and head to a safety point.
There is a domestic washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board in the Laundry that is shared with other guests. We ask for a discretionary payment of 8 euros per wash and dry. We may also arrange for dry cleaning, please ask at reception. Please note that the management is not responsible for goods or valuables left in the laundry.
Quinta Jacintina is wonderfully situated in the heart of the Golden Triangle of the Central Algarve. Just 15 minutes from Faro airport, 5 minutes from beautiful beaches and close to many famous golf courses and wonderful restaurants. It is situated between the well-known exclusive resorts of Vale do Lobo and Quinta Do Lago

We offer luggage storage. Please note that management is not responsible for goods or valuables left in your baggage in your room or in the baggage room.
Parties and events
Parties and events may be allowed with additional contractural arrangements when the establishment can be hired for exclusive use.
We are pleased to comply with legislation and there is a complaints book in Reception and a Visitors book for your feedback.
Each room is equipped with an electronic safe, with instructions for use. Please check that you take all your belongings on departure. Please place valuables in the safe. Please do not leave any valuables unattended in your room. Note that management is not responsible for goods or valuables left in your room.
Your safety is assisted by CCTV covering the entrance 24 hours a day. Please note that management is not responsible for goods or valuables left in your room, left out of the safe and are not responsible for damage to the cars in the car park at the hotel.
In addition to the accommodation guests are welcome to use the swimming pool as follows:

If you decide not to rent a car to explore the Algarve, we recommend good local taxi companies or Uber. The beach and shops are within 25 minute walking distance.
We will not be providing a turndown service this Summer as we wish to limit the contact between staff and guests because of Covid -19.
